My name is Andy Roganson. My company is Design Lighting and Installations. We specialize in Landscape Lighting and Interior Lighting Design.
I started working on a private estate in Malibu as an apprentice electrician in early 1978. We worked for several years on lighting the 7 acres with the most elegant and cost efficient lighting systems of the day. Our directive was lighting the Redwoods, Cedar, and Eucalyptus trees that made up the forest and the cobblestone roads and hand made rock walls. It became a villa.

Design Lighting & Installations has been a licensed electrical contractor since 1985. I have been intricately involved in the evolution of landscape lighting by working with light fixture fabricators to develop handmade custom brass or copper light fixtures. We evolved from halogen to LED, from timers to smart home control systems, integrated into existing network controlled or new, app-controlled systems.

I get the greatest satisfaction from my specialized design and installation of the most innovative and dramatic low voltage outdoor lighting systems. I personally work with a Los Angeles fixture manufacturer who follows my specifications and truly hand-makes fixtures for YOUR home.
All of my landscape designs and installations are engineered to provide the necessary brightness needed to bring your environment to life. My clients say that they enjoy their landscaping more at night while lit, than during the day. Dimming is a great additional tool to fine tune your viewing and to manage energy consumption, and smart home technology allows us to be more creative in the operation and control of your lighting system.
